Adrian Benson, formerly known as Spiderling, Carnage, Amber Witch, and Death, was a superhero from Earth-9609 who was severly abused by his father and stepmother who was born with latent Chaos Magic. After being bitten by an expiremental radioactive spider when he was thirteen, he was given spider-like powers. He was also given psionic abilities as a result of his latent mythical abilities reacting to the venom. He decided to use these powers to fight crime as the Spiderling, going after abusive parents in particular.
He eventually accidently killed his parents using a power blast after they had threatened to hurt him. After this, he struck out on his own and lived on the streets while doubling as the crime-fighting Spiderling.
