Alan Gorman was a former agent who use to work for the agency S.H.I.E.L.D.. Following the HYDRA Uprising, Gorman went into hiding and joined the U.L.T.I.M.A.T.U.M. led by Karl Morgenthau. He was able to survive the Snap while his former leader had been locked away in the Raft for his crimes. Eventually, he would go on to follow Karl's daughter Karli, who took position as the new leader of the U.L.T.I.M.A.T.U.M.. He was highly loyal to Karli and helped in her plan to kidnap world leaders of the C.S.A., but would meet an unfortunate end by John Walker.

As a loyal member of the U.L.T.I.M.A.T.U.M., Alan Gorman was highly supportive to Karl Morgenthau and his daughter Karli Morgenthau. Despite the harsh tactics that Karli had been doing, Gorman never questioned her orders and blindly followed them unlike several of the others that considered this madness. When Karli planned to wage war against the C.S.A. and kidnap world leaders to use them as hostages, Gorman agreed to the plan, but when some members of the organization refused to go along with his plan which deem it madness, he called the others cowards and traitors. His loyalty to Karli would lead to his downfall, in which John Walker killed him during a fight.
