Trained from a young age to be a killer and a spy for Leviathan, Ava grew up cold and emotionless, in which she was forced to abandon her feelings as part of being a Black Widow of Leviathan As part of a different group of Widows that weren't brainwashed, Ava learned how to kill her own targets without doubt and would never form any attachment, in which was considered weakness. Over the years, Ava had killed about six targets, and among those targets were her mother and father, who she didn't recognize. However, throughout her training with her mentor Sasha Koshkin, she continued to remember how Alex Manor was protecting her until he was assassinated by the person who would take her into Leviathan and train to become an assassin as part of the Black Widow Ops Program.
However, her personality would slowly start to change when she would make her encounter Oksana Davis, a hacker who worked for S.H.I.E.L.D. hacker, and had been ordered by Sasha Koshkin and General Egorav to assassinate her. Before she would assassinate her target, she would learn from Oksana that she worked closely with Yulia Orlova for years. After being shown a photo of Oksana with Yulia, Ava was deeply horrified to learn that the woman she killed a year ago was actually her mother.

- Inhuman Physiology: Ava Orlova was an Inhuman who achieved his genetic potential after undergoing Terrigenesis and gained superhuman powers.
- Electricity Manipulation: Like Lincoln Slade, Ava's powers enable her to manipulate the electrical charge in molecules for a variety of effects, but in a much different way. She can channel electricity through firearms and along her sabers.

- Efficient Combatant: To her own surprise, Ava is an efficient combatant, being able to trounce people taller and bigger than herself.
- Swordsmanship: Ava has taken fencing lessons at the Y.M.C.A..
