Brunnhilde was a Asgardian warrior who served as secondary leader of the Valkyrior led by Valtrauta and served highest regard in Asgard. At some point, she and her fellow Valkyries attempted to stop Hela Odinsdottir, who was Odin Borson's firstborn daughter. Her efforts to stop Hela was a failure, resulting in a terrible massacre, in which she sacrificed her life to save her fellow sister Rūna.
Centuries later, Brunnhilde, along with all her fallen Valkyrior sisters were brought back by Doctor Strange to help combat the Dark Council and prevent them fromn ruling the Nine Realms.
