Cassandra Nova Xavier was Professor X's twin sister and a Omega-level mutant. Cassandra lived with her brother for a good part of her life, at first she was jealous of Raven Darkhölme, but grew to see her as a sister. Unlike her brother, Cassandra always had a more extroverted and abrasive temperament, and was somewhat skeptical about Xavier's dream of peaceful coexistence between humans and mutants, but she didn't rule him out completely. At some point before 1962, Cassandra got married and had three children, who according to her, were all mutants. However, part of a plan by Sebastian Shaw, the CIA director approves an attack on Cassandra's residence, brutally murdering her husband and children in front of her. She was approached by her brother and asked to face Sebastian Shaw, she began to become resentful and vengeful against humanity, beginning to develop ideas of mutant supremacy, which she shared with Erik Lehnsherr.
In the end, Cassandra brought Sebastian Shaw and tortured him with her telekinetic powers, then she entered his mind by putting her fingers through his head in a process known as "phasing". There, she discovered that the director did know who the target was and approved him, yet this was the last straw for Cassandra, who released him and encouraged Erik to kill him. Afterwards she encouraged him to launch the missiles fired at the warships, but she went her own way, turning her back on both Xavier and Lehnsherr, and the letter would become the mutant supervillain Magneto fighting and defending Cassandra's ideology of mutant supremacy.
Cassandra would become a mutant supremacist by herself, adopting the codename Mummudrai and creating a isolate mutant community. After Magneto's arrest, Cassandra assumed leadership of the Brotherhood of Mutants and began coordinating attacks against humans and mutants who did not support her, and she had a direct confrontation with the X-Men at Alkali Lake, where she was temporarily defeated by Jean Grey. However, she remained torturing Cyclops with a psychic echo of Jean, until upon reaching his breaking point, he returned to the lake and fired optical blasts, breaking Jean's telekinetic cocoon and releasing her and her id-like Phoenix personality. Cassandra would later join the new formation of the Brotherhood of Mutants and the Omegas, and was among the mutants who used their powers on Alcatraz, the X-Men avoided her at all costs, as she was a class five/omega-level mutant, but she came into conflict with Storm, although she was unable to kill her.
When the Phoenix unleashed its fury upon Alcatraz, Cassandra was one of several mutants disintegrated at the molecular level, but unlike her brother, she was able to survive in an incorporeal form and at some point was able to manipulate an unknown mutant into recreating her body. Cassandra fought against the Sentinels, but was permanently depowered and killed for good by a Sentinel in 2021.
Personality[]
Initially, Cassandra Nova was a happy, polite, confident, kind, and outgoing woman. She was close to her brothers, including Xavier, and supported his dream of peaceful coexistence between humans and mutants, despite her skepticism. Cassandra was also building her own family, having married and had three children, whom she loved dearly. The brutal murder of her husband and children profoundly traumatized Cassandra. This tragedy led to her becoming colder, developing a growing grudge and desire for revenge against Sebastian Shaw and humanity. Her ideals shifted towards mutant supremacy. Though she initially tried to maintain her faith in Xavier's dream, her perspective changed dramatically when she discovered Shaw's complicity in the attack on her family. This revelation drove her to embrace mutant supremacy and support Erik's revenge against humans, adopting the name Mummudrai.
As Mummudrai, Cassandra acted as a leader and mother figure to all of the Mutants under her care, and her strictness to adhere to the rules of their people was motivated by her strong desire to protect them. However, Cassandra's role as a leader also divided her duties and her humanity. She could be very gentle and compassionate when allowed to be, but her duty to the Mutants made her choices questionable. It later became apparent that the trauma she suffered gave her a long-lasting lack of empathy, or even a deep hatred, towards people not of her kind. While Xavier says that she used to have a deep empathy and love for all people, CIA's cruel treatment erased any compassion for non-Mutants, with her desire to lead and protect the Inhumans becoming so obsessive that her indifference towards non-Mutants became absolutely callous and murderous. Despite being victimized by CIA and Sebastian Shaw, she continued to blame her brother for what happened to her, beliving that he was to foccused on his dreams and didn't helped her, despite his inumerous attempts to reason and help her cope with her trauma and grief.
She rejected X-Men's attempts to negotiate with her peacefully and tried to murder them (even when they brought a genuine peace offering to show goodwill), and to protect her people, she deceived her people to fight a war against X-Men and CIA, and didn't hesitate to use her mutant powers to torture and kill the human prisoners. She even attempted to kill her own allies when each of them threatened to stop her war.

Cassandra Nova Xavier was Professor X's twin sister and a Omega-level mutant. She lived the same life as her original timeline counterpart until 1973, when Wolverine traveled to the past to stop Mystique from assassinating Bolivar Trask and preventing the creation of the Sentinels, and with that being successful, everything she lived in original timeline after 1973 was erased.
Already acting as Mummudrai, Cassandra was the only mutant besides Jean Grey to sense Apocalypse's power signature when he awakened, and immediately identified him as a threat, in addition to being an omega-level mutant like her. Cassandra was approached by Apocalypse, who tried to convince her to join him, she considers it when she sees Magneto, but rejects it when she senses hostile intentions. Reluctantly, Cassandra seeks help from her twin brother, where Apocalypse takes control of Cerebro and tries to use him to force humans to give up all nuclear weapons and eventually kidnaps him, she is saved by Quicksilver from the mansion's explosion.
With her psychic powers, Cassandra is able to locate the X-Men at Alkali Lake, and with her telekinetic powers, she is able to enter the facility and rescue them. Cassandra reconnects with Raven, and the two join forces to face Apocalypse and rescue Xavier. And in Cairo, Cassandra manages to fight Apocalypse on equal terms, she unleashes her complete fury on him when he begins to strangle Raven, and joins Magneto when he betrays Apocalypse and allies with the X-Men. She witnesses Jean Gray release her power, manifesting a phoenix-shaped aura, and after that, she returns to her community, but maintains contact with the X-Men, reconciling with her brother.
Cassandra was approached by Jean Gray after she fused with the Phoenix Force and was having trouble controlling her powers. Cassandra was moved, explaining that she and her brother also didn't have much control over their powers, and had to learn how to control it on their own. Cassandra instructs Jean to stop resisting the entity's power, but to feel it, understand its extent, because the more she understands, the less she will be controlled by the power.
Cassandra feels the powers of the Phoenix Force, she describes them as being beyond comprehension, that Jean could not control them alone. Cassandra teams up with the X-Men to face Magneto and save Jean, and despite her best efforts, she was no match for the power of the Dark Phoenix and is overpowered, and ends up being arrested along with the others. Cassandra manages to fight the D'Bari, until she is defeated by Vuk.
Cassandra watches as Jean finally manages to take control of her powers, disintegrating the D'Bari, and Cassandra watches in bewilderment as Jean flies into the upper atmosphere and destroys Vuk, finally merging completely with the Phoenix Force.
In 2028, Cassandra was a victim of the Westchester Incident, where despite not dying, she was left in a vegetative state, and eventually languished to death due to not being found in time.

After her alliance with the X-Men and reconciling with her brothers, Cassandra demonstrates that despite not agreeing with them, she still cares and loves them, shown when she furiously attacked Apocalypse when he tried to kill Mystique, her adopted sister, and her she was willing to face Dark Phoenix directly to protect Xavier, even though she knew she couldn't win. Cassandra also appears to have regained some of her empathy with humans and has become more flexible regarding her ideals of supremacy. During her fight against Apocalypse and Dark Phoenix, Cassandra did what she could to reduce civilian casualties as much as possible.
