Cassie St. Commons was one of the many victims of the Battle of the Hong Kong Sanctum, when Kaecilius and his Zealots destroyed the Hong Kong Sanctum and succeeded in bringing Dormammu and the Dark Dimension to Earth. As she laid dying, she was subsequently exposed to the Darkforce energy of the Dark Dimension, forever altering her physiology.
When Doctor Strange used the Time Stone and reversed what had happened, Commons returned from the dead alongside many others. However, due to the exposure to the Darkforce, Cassie soon discovered that she was no longer dead, but not truly alive. She was Dusk. She found that she could teleport anywhere in a swirl of shadows, and she had some kind of psychic awareness as well.

Powers[]
- Darkforce Manipulation: After Cassie died during the Battle of the Hong Kong Sanctum, her body was exposed to the Darkforce energy of the Dark Dimension, resulting in her acquiring new powers upon her resurrection. Dusk can manipulate the Darkforce, by channeling it through her own body, giving her multiple abilities.
- Teleportation: She can teleport herself and others with her.
- Dimensional Travel: Dusk is able to travel between different dimensions by teleporting, as she was able to transport herself away from the foes after her.
- Construct Generation: can manipulate Darkforce to form objects or constructs of solid dark energy, a power she uses to great effectiveness to protect her teammates.
- Clairvoyance: She also has clairvoyant abilities to sense the whereabouts of her teammates and know if they are in danger, no matter the distance.
- Teleportation: She can teleport herself and others with her.
Abilities[]
- Combatant: Commons is a capable fighter skilled in brawling style to throw coordinated punches, kicks, and being able to use her powers of teleportation to rapidly evade attacks in creating her own offensive ones.
