A Nexus Being is defined as rare individuals integral to the function of the Multiverse. They can act as a release valve and focal point for the convergence of the universe's ambient esoteric energies granting huge mystical potential and receptivity and they act as a keystone of the Multiverse, crucial to its ultimate coherence and stability. All Nexus Beings have a inherent connection to their universes' Infinity Stones, according to lore, and can supplement them if need be. Dr. Stephen Strange has a connection to the Time and Soul Stone, Wanda Maximoff to the Mind, Power and Reality Stones, and Loki Laufeyson to the Space Stone. They also have extrasensory perception able to be aware of and view cross-dimensional planes of reality through their dreams or through other means.
Furthermore, a Nexus being exists independent of realities. For example, parallel universes mean there is always a chance that one thing happened or didn't happen. Like it's possible person A's parents didn't get together in some universe to create them. For Nexus Beings, this is impossible. No matter what reality or set of infinite upon infinite possibilities of events happening, they have to exist. What's interesting is that they don't even have to be exactly the same person. The physics of the multiverse also dictate that multiple nexus beings cannot exist on the same plane of reality for long, with three seemingly being the absolute maximum (Loki, Doctor Strange and Wanda Maximoff). This also means that they can only project into other realms with an active nexus being as an apparition or they must kill the Nexus Being of that reality to safely live there without causing an Incursion. However, constant and excessive universal projection causes the Nexus Being to unintentionally manipulate and destroy dimensional edges that prevent incursions between universes from taking place, these incursions can be incredibly dangerous, potentially causing the total destruction of the Multiverse, with all universes colliding each other and destroying each other.
One of the most dangerous properties that Nexus Beings possess is the fact they are the only lesser lifeform in the Sacred Timeline to have free will and choice thereby challenging the plot of He Who Remains and are generally responsible for Nexus Events.
