History[]

Following the Skrull Invasion on Earth in 2025, Young Avengers member Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel grew dissastified with the way the older heroes were handling the situation, believing the hero community needed to hear the civil population and act together with them to overcome it. That, added with the fact that Kamala felt heroes like Captain America and Hawkeye were over-controlling her, contributed to Ms. Marvel's decision of leaving the Young Avengers.

Later that day, while busting into a human-trafficking operation led by criminal Pagliacci, Khan was aided in battle by Miles Morales/Spiderman, Samuel Alexander/Nova, Amadeus Cho/Brawn and Vivian "Viv" Vision. After they freed the young girls who were being kept hostage and imprisoned Pagliacci, they decided to come together in a team of heroes free from the control of their elders and created the Champions.

The next night, while camping in the woods to better create a bond between them, they were approached by Tyler Grey-Summers/Redeye, who asked to join the team.
