Charles Francis Xavier, better known as Professor X, was a Mutant who was known to be one of the original leading founders of the X-Force. Wielding telepathic powers, Professor X became one of the first leaders of the Illuminati and represented the X-Force within the intergalactic society. During the Infinity War, Professor X was involved in a battle on Titian, for he would help the Illuminati defeat Thanos, who was on the verge in wiping 50% of life in the universe. Although the battle was victory, Professor X knew that his friend Stephen Strange had to die in order to prevent an incursion from happening and promised the former Sorcerer Supreme that he will honor him as a hero for doing the right thing.
For the last few years while the Illuminati expanded across the universe, Professor X continued to keep the truth hidden since he promised his friend Stephen that he would make sure that the rest of the universe would know that he died defeating Thanos. When he felt the presence of another Doctor Strange arriving in the universe with Sofia Chavez, Professor X knew this as a sign and attended the meeting of the Illuminati to meet with the two interdimensional travelers. When Scarlet Witch attacked the Illuminati Headquarters, he gave Strange some parting advice before confronting Scarlet Witch. Professor X attempted to defeat her telepathically, but the Scarlet Witch killed him.

When Wanda Maximoff had already been dreamwalking by possessing her alternate self and had just killed Hope Van Dyne, Maria Rambeau, and Obadiah Stane, Xavier confronted her personally, ordering her to stop just as she was about to capture Sofia. He then used his telepathic powers to enter her mind, succeeding in doing so. While he had been using his power on Wanda, he telepathically spoke to Gina Atwater, asking her to free Sofia and take her to safety while he does whatever he can to hold her off as long as he can to free the 838 Wanda Maximoff from the corrupt Wanda's possession.
Within Wanda Maximoff's mind, Professor Xavier wandered through a blank landscape, dotted with rubble attributed to her past. He soon came upon his universe's Wanda Maximoff, trapped under rubble. He informed his universe's Wanda about what had happened to her and attempted to pull her out in order to free her from the corrupt Wanda's control. However, when a blood red mist was approaching them both, Professor X realized what was about to happen, but didn't move despite his Wanda Maximoff being pulled into the darkness. Knowing that he was going to die, Charles foresaw a vision of Stephen Strange and Sofia Chavez being able to make Wanda Maximoff realize her wrongdoings. He also saw that Wanda would heroically destroy all the Darkholds in order to save the Multiverse by preventing anyone else from being tempted and causing incursions.
Feeling proud that Stephen proved himself to be different, Professor X also saw that the Multiverse is in danger and felt that his friend Namor was still alive. He was able to commune with Namor by showing him the vision he saw and must be ready to warn the others in their universe of an incoming war. Just at that moment before Wanda Maximoff was about to burst from the mist and kill him, Xavier telepathically tells her that he forgives her, even telling her that she will see the error of her ways and do the right thing. Once Wanda ripped off the upper half of his head, Xavier felt his neck being snapped and slumped over, dead in his chair.
