The Coven of Chaos is a group of witches gathered and led by Agatha Harkness with the goal of walking the Witches' Road and undergoing the Trials.
The members were chosen through divination by Lilia Calderu. Upon entering the Witches' Road, there was first Jennifer Kale's Trial, the Potion Witch, where the Coven of Chaos was tricked into drinking poisoned wine and Kale was given 30 minutes to prepare an antidote, which was almost unsuccessful, but eventually Kale succeeded and passed her Trial.
As they walked the Witches' Road and passed the Trial, Sharon Davis passed away, and upon performing a summoning spell for a replacement, she was replaced by a disguised Nicholas Scratch, who would undergo the Trial that was originally hers.
Next was Alice Wu-Gulliver's Trial, the Protection Witch, where before the Trial, Natalia Harkness-Vidal invaded the Trial using the "door opened by the summoning spell" and joined the Coven of Chaos. The Trial begins, the Wu Family Curse is released upon the Coven, and Wu-Gulliver has 30 minutes to keep everyone safe from the curse, which she successfully does, invoking her mother's protection spell in her version of the Ballad of the Witches' Road and ends up completely undoing the curse, passing her Trial.
The Coven of Chaos was intercepted by the Salem's Seven on the Witches' Road, where they narrowly escaped them. They then arrived at the Agatha Harkness's Trial, the Coven's High Priestess, where she had 30 minutes to commune with the spirits of dead witches in peace, which was almost unsuccessful; she was possessed by Lore, an evil variant of the Scarlet Witch banished to the Road, and then tormented by the spirit of Evanora Harkness conjured by Lore. Harkness managed to pass her Trial, at the cost of nearly killing Wu-Gulliver and being attacked by Scratch. After that they go to Lilia Calderu's Trial.
Knowing the trial is hers, Lilia places the cards in their proper order, saving them all, she finds out that Rio Vidal is Death, to which Rio corrects her that she is Death's subordinate, the Reaper of Earth. Prompting everyone to flee through the exit, Lilia chooses to stay behind as the Salem's Seven approach. She flips one of the cards, causing the entire room to flip and impaling the Seven and herself on the swords, which turns out to be just Scratch's manipulation, and the spell only affected her and the Seven's deaths were just an illusion, the rest of the Coven returns and confronts them, which Scratch ends up stealing the magic and killing three of the Seven, where the hypnotic spell he cast to preserve his identity fell off, the Coven accuses Scratch of betrayal and he argues with his sister and mothers and exposes his anger and resentment, and also berates Natalia for having forgiven and reconciled with them. After this, they leave for the next Trial, and after Alice begs, Rio returns to the Tower and resurrects Lilia, who joins the group, and then Natalia finds and destroys Billy's sigil, revealing his identity to everyone, and they discuss Scratch's betrayal and how they will proceed..
