Druig, also known as the Lord of Flames and Nightmares, was an Eternal who was the son of Valkin, and cousin to Ikaris. A power hungry schemer, Druig was known to be a disappointment to his father and uncle Virako, both who nevertheless turned a blind eye to Druig's faults. Despite his repeated transgressions, Druig is always allowed back into Eternal society after each encounter to preserve unity. However, while living on Earth, Druig has double-crossed his fellow Eternals many times over the centuries in an attempt to assert dominance over them, helping characters and organisations, such as Russia's KGB. Deciding to put an end to every Emergence across the universe, Druig had been the one responsible in guiding Thanos Rex to accomphish his goal in wiping 50% of life in the universe.
At some point, Druig was punished by the Celestials for his crimes and had him locked up in the Exclusion for centuries under the watchful eye of Phastos. With his memories removed under the orders of Arishem, Druig was sent to Earth and spent centuries overseeing everything in the country of Russia. However, his main goal was to prepare for the Emergence of Tiamut and joined the Council of Confederate Eternals along with Akpaxa, Dromedan, Eramis, Legba, Pannix, and El Vampiro under the leadership of Atlo, who had justed assassinated Amaa for her defiance. He assisted Atlo in reassembling the other Eternals in preparation for the Emergence of Tiamut. When the revelation of Amaa's death came to light and the team became divided on whether or not to protect humanity, Druig was among those that chose to go through the process, but was defeated.
After Atlo betrayed the Council of Confederate Eternals and seemingly committed suicide, Druig assumed leadership and left Earth to return to the Exclusion.
