Guardians of the Multiverse is an animated mixed-reality video game based on the Marvel Comics series of the same name. The game is a sequel to What If...? - An Immersive Story and spin-off of the television series What If...?.

Plot[]

The story continues where Peggy Carter takes the Hero of the Multiverse on a tour in this timeless universe, which serves as the primary headquarters for the Guardians of the Multiverse. There, she introduces the hero to her two recruits Scarlet Merlin and Kahhori, who are both pleased to meet the hero and explain how Uatu is looking for countless heroes that can play a huge role in protecting the Multiverse from imminent danger.

Returning back to the timeless universe, Peggy and the Hero meet with Master Jason Wong, who had got Uatu's message of finding heroes

Uatu shows the heroes a new reality where Shang-Chi Zheng remained with his father Wenwu, but would witness the Avengers eliminate him during a conflict in China. Wielding the Ten Iron Rings that his father wore for centuries, Shang-Chi becomes a vengeful warlord and now leads the Ten Rings to destroy the Avengers. Upon arriving in Sokovia, Shang-Chi leads his troops to destroy both the Avengers and HYDRA altogether, and leave no survivors.
