Illyana Nikolievna Rasputina, also known as Illyana Rasputin, is a Russian mutant and witch, and Colossus' younger sister. When she was 6 years old, she was kidnapped by the demon Belasco and taken to Limbo, where she spent seven years developing her magic abilities and attempting to resist Belasco's corruption. When she finally returned to Earth, she discovered mere seconds had passed, as time in Limbo runs differently when compared to Earth.
Illyana was then taken to live in the Xavier School for Gifted Youngsters, and eventually joined the New Mutants under the name of Magik. She remained on the team until its end in 2018, and later joined the Excalibur team in the mutant nation of Krakoa.
