Early Life[]
Losing His Lover[]
While growing up, Jacob joined the United States Army and evetually earned the rank of First Lieutenant. While his unit was stationed in Sokovia, they were eventually attacked by the Sokovian Armed Forces. However, Jacob was able to escape the ambush, but was shot in the thigh while making his escape. Even though, he managed to flee, Jacob was nearly close to dying until he was found by a Sokovian woman named Isabelle Kristel, who chose to save his life rather than giving him up to the Sokovian military. This led to the beginning of a relationship with Jacob and Isabelle.
For the last couple of months, Jake and Isabelle had been hiding in a secret residential retreat in the mountains. While the two were having a moment in the quiet woods and planned on getting married, they were suddenly ambushed by a gang of Sokovian criminals, who were actually former soldiers that deserted the Sokovian Armed Forces. Jake tried to make sure that Isabelle stayed safe, but one of the gang members shot her a couple of times in the chest while trying to flee. The death of Isabelle caused Jake to snap in absolute rage and immediately killed every member of the gang, despite some pleading for mercy. With the gang dead, Jake buried Isabelle in an unknown location and would then return to the army later on.
Vengeful Mercenary[]
Seeking to eliminate criminals around the world, Jacob Lockley became a mercenary and sought to kill his first target in Mexico: Gilberto Alcantara, the leader of the Cuiliacan Cartel. Jacob infiltrated Cuiliacan Cartel's base of operations and began to slaughter every single criminal, leaving Gilberto Alcantara as the last one to die. Despite Gilberto pleading for his life, Jacob refused and immediately executed him without hesitation.
Encounter With Scarlet Fasinera[]
In 2020, Jacob Lockley had resumed his career as a vengeful mercenary and continued to go on the hunt for dangerous criminals that survived the Snap. His next target was Vincent Fasinera, who was the former head of the Fasinera Crime Family. However, what Jake didn't know was is that Vincent redeemed himself since he felt a lot of remorse for his past actions as a crime boss, and chose to abandon his old life by becoming a good man and help people that continued to suffer in the aftermath of the Snap. Jacob infiltrated the Fasinera Residence and shot Vincent in the head after he kindly put a group of orphaned children to bed.
A few days after killing Vincent Fasinera, Jacob had an encounter with Scarlet Fasinera, a Witchbreed who was a former member of the New Salem Coven and the wife of Vincent Fasinera. Scarlet had managed to use her magic to track him down and end his life to avenge her husband's death. However, Jacob fought back and tried to flee, but Scarlet used a spell to send him flying backwards into a wall and fell into a coma. Even though Scarlet was ready to kill him, she immediately fled when the N.Y.P.D. arrived at the scene and took Jake's body to the hospital.
Inside Marc's Body[]
Days after being was placed in a coma, Jacob would never wake up and his body would remain hospitalized. However, it wouldn't be long when Egyptian Ennead Aqen, who was a loyal friend to Khonshu and had Doctor William Dean as his personal avatar, saw Jacob's potential and arranged for Jacob's consciousness to be transferred into the body of Marcus Spector, who had become Khonshu's new avatar.
Personality[]
Before becoming a vengeful mercenary, Jacob Lockley once carried a respected heart in him while serving in the United States Army. He was nearly killed until he was saved by a Sokovian woman named Isabelle Kristel, who saved his life and fell in love with him. Their relationship was cut short when a gang of Sokovian deserters killed Isabelle, causing Jacob to abandon all of his morals and slaughter the deserters in a fit of absolute rage. Having abandoned his old life as a soldier, Jacob became a mercenary and spent his life gaining a lot of power, wealth, and vengeance. Similar to Frank Castle, Jacob believed that all criminals were posing a danger to the world and sought to rid them off this world.
While inside Marcus Spector's body, Jacob Lockley continued to represent his actual dark side in him, for which he possessed a far more brutal disposition. He is also a greedy, calculating, and aggressive person, who serves as the antithesis to Steven Grant. Jacob is an extremely shrewd man who is willing to do anything to accomplish his goals, as seen throughout his various murders in his service to Khonshu. He is the most rageful persona of Marcus Spector, who is willing to cross nearly all limits in his animalistic rage, who never hesitates to kill anyone to serve his purpose, such as the ones in Cairo when Marcus was not in control.
Marcus Spector and Steven Grant believed that this Lockley was another alter, but that was proven to be false when Jake's consciousness ended up in Marc's body by accident after Scarlet Fasinera used some magic to put him in a coma. In addition to being highly unhinged, Jake had suicidal tendencies, shown in his attempts to pierce a sharp object into his eye in Dr. Carson Knowles' office. His vengeful nature suits perfectly with the likes of Khonshu, who uses him to take control of Marc's body and to serve his full vengeance on those he views wrong, as shown when he made Lockley kill Carson Knowles, which he complied doing without any inner turmoil. He is fluent in Spanish and it is seemingly his default language.
The sheer rage in Lockley left him susceptible to manipulations by Khonshu, who used his manipulations on him into being his loyal servant under the offering of immense power and a purpose for serving justice. It also appears as though, Jacob serves as the most loyal servant to Khonshu, who never questions his methods, due to his own brutal nature. He never hesitates when he executed Gilberto Alcantara, who was pleading for his life. He never showed remorse when he killed Vincent Fasinera, a former crime boss who chose to atone for his past actions and help good people that survived the Snap.
