Janet van Dyne is the daughter of Vernon and Amelia van Dyne, raised to be a follower of the demon Chthon after her parents death. In 2039, she began her time traveling quest to collect the Six Amulets of Wakanda and bring her master back to our dimension, which made her an enemy of the Exiles. She was even able to resurrect her father, who joined her in her mission. However, after Chthon used Vernon's body as a host and killed him, Janet betrayed her master and aided the Exiles into defeating him.
She eventually joined the Exiles and, after she killed evil Fairy Cadhla, Janet became a Fairy. She then adopted the codename of Wasp.
When she married fellow Exile Hank Pym, they left the team to start a life together.
