Jonathan Matthew Blaisdell is a powerful sorcerer/warlock and former member of the Masters of the Mystic Arts.
History[]
Early History[]
He was born 31st December 2007 at 2 am in the morning. It was a home birth on the couch while snowed rained out the window. He was born allergic to the following; grass, salt water, cats, dogs, dust, penicillin, and grapefruit.
At age 5, his parents got divorced and shared custody of Jonathan while his mother later remarried an Italian chef who had a son. Both moving in with her and subsequently Jonathan. His step-brother taught him "many things" including but not limited to; faking death by holding his breath and relaxing his heart rate, how to cry or smile on demand, and et cetera.
When he was eight years old, he contracted a strange virus from contaminated school water. As a result he was unwell for several days as his friends suffered varying symptoms for example: his friend Sean had a pseudo seizure in the middle of the night and had to be helicoptered into hospital. While he did eventually recover, Jonathan's genome possessed a latent difference from the other students and he consequently developed Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. He suffered from extreme fatigue/inability to properly sleep, memory blocks, headaches, situational dizziness, aching muscles/joints, and nausea. To counter his symptoms, he was prescribed a number of medicines such as; Magnesium, CO-Q10, Cetirizine Hydrochloride, Paracetamol, Ginger tablets, Omeprazole and 6 B12 injections every 3 months.
At some point, Jonathan began to use a monotone almost robotic voice as a defense mechanism and also had anorexia and bulimia which he later believed to have stemmed from the constant comparisons/comments from his step brother and step father. For the entire time he suffered with it, he did it alone as he hid it from the others and only talked openly about it with his only friend at school. Eventually, he lost 15 kilograms and became very gaunt. His father had also grown toxic becoming verbally/emotionally abusive as he would yell at him ferociously often despite not deserving it and would bigot regarding Jonathan's sexuality. This would only become worse when he gained full custody after his mother and step family died in a car crash outside Target.
Learning Magic[]
One night, Jonathan's father came home late at night and very intoxicated. Attempting to "cure the gay away", he hired a prostitute and aimed to forcibly make Jonathan have sexual intercourse with her. However, Jonathan's Witch Magic manifested for the first time and his body briefly glowed bright before unleashing a blue shockwave that exploded in all directions thus breaking the glass in the room and knocking out the other two people in the room.
Confused, shocked, and terrified by the events, Jonathan hurriedly packed a bag of clothes and essential supplies before running away from the apartment. The outburst of Mana (spiritual life force) was felt halfway across the world as the Ancient One sensed the rude awakening of a new and powerful warlock. He was subsequently recruited into the Masters of the Mystic Arts and taken to Kamar Taj in Kathmandu, Nepal where he learned how to channel mystic power to cure his condition rendering him at the near peak of human health. Like Doctor Strange, he did not direct all of the energy toward healing which allowed him to retain the ability to harness higher beings. As a result, he still endures minor symptoms from time to time.
The Ancient One later acknowledged him to be exceptionally gifted and among her most talented students.

Attacked by Baron Mordo + Death[]
Several months after his return to the present, he was confronted by Baron Mordo, who reminded him of how he was taken in off the streets like a stray before being eventually being cured by the Ancient One and being trained how to be strong. Mordo claimed that despite his innate gift, Jonathan was obsessed with the occult, addicted to its power, and stole magic he did not need though Jonathan tried to refute.
Fearing Mordo's intentions, Jonathan attempted to subdue him with a binding spell, only for Mordo to deflect the spell onto Jonathan himself which he quickly reversed with the "undo" spell but baron fired a beam at him. To protect himself, he casted the Shield of Imhotep that was able to withstand said energy and consequently redirected the spell into the Spear as a striking move.
Soon after, they switched briefly to hand to hand but Baron proved to be far superior in martial arts and easily subdued Jonathan and held a knife to his throat urging the warlock to stand down and accept judgment. He quickly chanted a transmutation spell and converted the blade into a feather which impressed Baron earning praise.
Tired from the prolonged fight, Baron knocked him down and stripped him of his borrowed magic causing his medical conditions to return and cause all the spells he tried to fail. As Blaisdell asked Mordo why he did this to him, the Master sorcerer replied that there are simply too many sorcerers misusing their powers and causing "disruption" or perversions.
Jonathan discovered that he could still use his inherent magic and so, in retaliation, cast “Causa crepitoose” to launch a bolt of blue energy at Baron which was blocked by a Tao Mandala and he was consequently strangled to death by a Eldritch whip.

Jonathan appears as a physically attractive young caucasian male in his biologically late teens or so with light brown hair, blue eyes, and stands at 5 foot 9. He has a distinctive scent of coffee, spearmint, and gentle cologne.

Innate nature[]
- Witchcraft: Jonathan was born with a magical gene inherent to all natural born human witches or warlocks and was thus provided with a “spark” of such power that he could grow into a “flame” becoming a full fledged source thus allowing him to use supernatural powers innate to him without having to call upon an external force. Like Evanora Harkness, his magic manifests in a shade of blue. Despite being powerful in his own right, he typically relies on spells that invoke higher beings. Jon’s magical essence is described as tasting/smelling strong yet delicate and distinct like Cinnamon with a hint of Vanilla.
- Bilocation: He is capable of casting a spell that allows him to be in two places at the same time as a projection. However, he is unable to manifest the clothing he is wearing and as such the projection will be naked but also uniquely intangible. The longer he tries to sustain the projection, the more drain is placed on his battery and therefore endangers his health if he doesn’t tap into another source such as ley lines or auras.
- Telekinesis: He has the ability to mentally influence both objects and people through physical gestures. During his sex scene, he uncontrollably levitates the bed and several nearby objects as he orgasms. He has commonly used this through simple hand gestures to open or shut doors and routinely throw people backward including pinning them against whatever surface they struck. Jon has also frozen people in place by effecting a magical hold over their motor functions thereby restraining them. “Yukon Dat!” or “Suntok Ng Demonyo” both enable him to throw a torrent of telekinetic force at a target.
- Extrasensory Perception: Jonathan possesses exceptional supernatural senses that allow him to see and sense things that regular humans cannot. For example: he is capable of seeing and reading auras, detecting the presence of magic, see invisible entities such as ghosts, and can tell if someone is possessed by a spirit or not.
- Energy Expulsion: When sufficiently charged by his emotions, Jonathan is capable of unleashing an omnidirectional shockwave of flaming violent blue energy that can repel anyone in range. He was also able to fire a bolt of this energy at a target which carries substantial concussive energy. The bolt spell requires an incantation: “Causa crepitoose”.
- Spell Casting (via divine sources): In addition to his inherent biological capacity/aptitude to generate and manipulate mystical energy, Jon is furthermore capable of harnessing additional supernatural energies that he invokes from higher beings such as cosmic beings or gods/goddesses which enable him to perform a multitude of advanced effects. Uniquely, he is able to channel the auras of those close to him described as borrowing their latent connection to the Multiverse which allows him to harness more mystic energy than he could alone. He can also siphon the electromagnetic energy flowing through the planet but usually needs a “hotspot” AKA a special intersection. Notable powers accessed through conduit spells include;
- Pyrokinesis: By invoking either the Faltine or Zarathos, Jonathan is capable of summoning and controlling fire with him having progressed in this ability at an impressive pace. He has even created shields of flames and easily throwed bursts of fire at targets. He can cause objects or people to spontaneously combust by casting “tua fiat ignis”. “Ignari Ra” would allow him to channel heat into an object thereby preventing people from touching it without being burned. He uses this most notably to engulf his hands in fire to threaten or intimate others while also being able to hurl said fire at a target. Recently, Jon has displayed not needing to cast any spell to engulf his hands merely shrugging his hand from an out-stretched upward position to a lower one to summon the flames. By chanting “Tenebris aurai capernus incendia!”, he was able to form a volatile line of fire in the ground to ward others off or block off an area.
- Teleportation: By casting “Faran!” which invokes the deity Farallah, he has the ability to transport himself and others from one location to another without physically inhabiting the space in between. This manifests as the teleported party being engulfed in bright orange light and quickly fading into nothingness before reappearing in a flash of light.
- Shield Generation: By casting the Shield of Imhotep, Jonathan was capable of creating a dark orange shield of light that counters any dark magic spell directed toward it and was skilled enough to redirect the energy of the shield in order to strike another with concussive force - a technique referred to as the Spear of Imhotep. The incantation he used was: “Remete es tuun!”. By casting: “Algiz”, he can summon energy from Cyttorak to wrap himself in a protective aura enclosed an inch or two out from his skin that absorb kinetic impacts thus sparing him from harm.
- Guiding Spell: By collecting a material and then crushing/ripping into into pieces before casting “De axis agus akasha Agamotto me do solas!” and throwing it into the air, the wind is stimulated to guide the material to whatever Jonathan is searching for. The spell invokes Agamotto who is generally called upon for spells of truth. A second version was cast by chanting “Ad gatu ostende mihi verhan” which invokes the Earth itself as a cosmological object to psychically view anyone on its surface.
- Hypnosis: By casting “A fuhrer tenne”, he can place a mortal into an instant trance where their eyes will briefly turn white and obey any command given to them by Jonathan. The spell harnesses the dark energy of the being known as Knull. By casting: “Nunc somnia”, he is capable of releasing a transparent gas-like mist infused with hints of dark black energy which invokes Morpheus to place those who come into contact with said gas into a deep sleep.
- Portal Creation: After learning the secrets from a page of the Grimoire of Cagliostro, Jon was able to open a one-way portal to virtually anywhere in the multiverse by first projecting a mystical symbol encased in a circle which glowed bright orange in mid air similar to a Tao Mandala before doing a twisting motion with his hands which spun the symbol until it formed a full sized fiery portal. The longer he tries to keep it open for however the more energy he has to expend to sustain the unstable link to its source and can be physically tiring for him as seen how he generally falls to his knees in exhaustion after casting it. The only reason he is capable of casting this spell is due to being born with magic as those who possess no hereditary magic like Doctor Strange are incapable of this and thus have to use sling rings. The incantation he used was: “Ad ostium quis era apertum tempus aeternitas mas redentegero era venit pro mas nesquam essei” to travel through time while a variant was “Magnus porta Infinitum” to travel through space. Originally this had the effect of summoning a rune on his forehead while later only his eyes glowed.
- Binding/Containment: By casting “Tellur arae captis”, he can perform a spell referred to as the Shackles of Mokarr which as its name implies invokes Mokarr. It manifests as misty particles thrown over the target that rapidly spins as it descends thus materialising restrictive metallic bands with a leash that can be held by the caster. An added perk is neutralising the target by preventing any mystical energy from being harnessed unless they invoke a deity more powerful than Mokarr. To undo the metallic bindings, he has to cast “sevete!”. By laying a circle in salt and casting “Capio manus intego phylaca”, he can enchant the salt to act as a prison preventing anyone from crossing. By casting a spell: “sile” and imposing his hands in the direction of a target, he can induce instant full-body paralysis on seemingly anyone including powerful sorcerers or supernatural creatures that manifests as a glowing white-yellow ripple of energy over the target similar to Caustics.
- Transmutation: By casting a spell that called upon the energy of the Hosts of Hoggoth, he was able to molecularly reconstruct a knife into a feather which was held against his throat. The incantation was; “Amun Harath Evala” and required his eyes to be shut. The spell manifested as a wave of flickering orange particles over the object. Furthermore, by casting “Permuto”, he was able to emit a wave of yellow light over his body to instantly change his clothing into another outfit.
- Glamours: By casting “Esio la ma kua”, he can place an illusionary veil over himself, another, or an object in order to change its appearance into something else. He does this by waving his hand over his target. He could also cast the Images of Ikonn spell in a manner different from Doctor Strange by verbally casting “Congero turba” with his voice echoing as the target is holographically duplicated, though, the effect is temporarily.

- Competent Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Though he isn’t formally trained, he is nevertheless capable of holding his own against an opponent without using his magic. To compensate for his lack of martial arts, he employs dirty tactics such as kicking his enemy in the balls (if they are male).
