Karli Morgenthau, also known as Anarchy, is a masked anarchist who worked for the U.L.T.I.M.A.T.U.M., anti-patriotism society that was founded by her father and mentor Karl Morgenthau. In the wake of the Blip, the C.S.A. reinstated world borders along with the careers and homes of those who had disappeared during the Snap, causing a surge of people to become displaced refugees, including Morgenthau. Relocating to Madripoor, where she worked for the Power Broker, Karli stole several dozens of Super-Soldier Serum vials from Michael Flynn. Using it on herself and her friends, she joined the U.L.T.I.M.A.T.U.M. with the goal to recreate a world without borders and provide resources to those in need. She attempted to prevent the ratification of the Patch Act in New York City, but was ultimately shot by Jora'thrll Natu.
After being cast into the Duat for eternity, Karli was resurrected by the Jackal Knight and ended up brainwashed under his command. As part of the Children of the Jackal, she helped in Randall's plan to free Anpu from his imprisonment, secure the throne of the Ennead, and enact her world order. However, she and a number of brainwashed members would have an encounter with the Moon Knight and his allies and fight him on a couple of occasions to prevent him from interfering in the Jackal Knight's plan to free him. Karli would eventually take part in the final battle between the Ennead, in which she was freed from Randall's control and departed on good terms with the Moon Knight. In hopes to atone for past actions that she did before, she decided to settle somewhere quiet in Cairo for a while until she was ready to go back and start a new life.
While remaining in hiding and beginning her path of redemption as a way to atone for her mistakes she did in the past, Karli now faces a new threat that targets the Blip population on Earth, forcing her to take back leadership over the U.L.T.I.M.A.T.U.M. in a more nuanced way. She would then encounter Sam Wilson and formed an alliance with him as a way to protect the innocent.

Born on July 22, 2003, Karli Morgenthau was the daughter of Karl Morgenthau.

Encounter With Moon Knight[]
At some point, Karli had traveled back to London to meet with one of her contacts in the U.L.T.I.M.A.T.U.M.. However, that is when she had a previous encounter with the mysterious Moon Knight, who was tasked by Khonshu to eliminate her. However, Karli managed to use the might of her Super-Soldier abilities to beat him, but since she saw that her assailant was healing, she was able to flee from him.
Duat[]
Following her death, Karli Morgenthau's soul was marked by Anput and then transported to the Duat, the Egyptian underworld that was located in the Astral Plane. She was then cast into the desert due to the Scales of Justice being unbalanced and remained frozen in the sand for all eternity.
Anubis Campaign[]
Resurrected by the Jackal Knight[]
At some point while remaining as a zombified unbalanced soul in the eternal Duat, Karli was found and approached by the Jackal Knight, who used the Scepter of Osiris to free her from her zombified trance. Gasping and frightened as to where she was, the Jackal Knight told her to remain calm and promised her that a second chance in life is waiting for her right now. Karli was still confused until the Jackal Knight used the scepter to open a spiritual doorway back to the physical plane. Once she passes through the doorway from the other side, Karli was restored to life, but would end up inside the Palace of Death and Rebirth that was located in Egypt.

After being freed from Jackal Knight's control, Karli began her path towards redemption. However, she still struggled with the impact of her past actions and felt a lot of guilt over the lives lost during her previous conflicts with her enemies, such as Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes. She even demonstrated a deeper understanding of the issues she was fighting against, thus leading her to more morally ambiguous choices where she is forced to balance her ideals with the potential for collateral damage. Upon reuniting with her former enemy Sam, both she and Sam had come to understand their own motivations and potentially even work together to address the concerns of the displaced Blip population.
