Summary[]
A young Vietnamese-American teenage boy - unnamed for now, until a Vietnamese name is decided - has a strong interest in alchemy and entomology (the science of insects). He has a talking, sentient pet robot grasshopper on his desk at home, accompanying him when he has to do lots of homework from his local high school. The boy is very mature, quiet and intelligent, but feels lonely and unloved at school. Even worse, bullies throw rocks at and otherwise hurt him over his personality. He is the only student aware of the existence of Alkem creatures (plural Alkems - originally called "Chemi/Chemis" in JP) with mysterious and unique superpowers and combat abilities. During spring break in North Carolina with family and friends, the boy talks about wanting to become a grasshopper-like superhero and fight against school bullies, after staff kept blaming him for getting hurt. During the spring break vacation, he sketched various designs of his grasshopper costume (in his favorite color - aqua blue, just like the original KRGotchard costume) and his powerful belt with the G-Driver (originally called "Gotchardriver" in JP), and with the help of his dad (who works at a Vietnamese restaurant) over the weekend, they create all these inventions and test them out on his son.
Starting at Episode Three (Season One), the boy's new Masked Rider superpowers are no longer limited to fighting school bullies and making them regret bullying - a hellish, literally-underground demon force, called G-Stroyer (play on the word "Destroyer" - originally called "Geyron" in JP) and its footsoldiers and monsters have secretly caught camera footage and collected data about the boy, his Masked Rider blue metal suit and its various parts, and his G-Driver - for unknown and nasty purposes. G-Stroyer has a team of three sisters (all Greek monster names) and M-Stroyer (originally called "Malgam" in JP) monsters that are far more hideous, deadly, and nasty than the original Japanese KRGotchard's Malgam. The M-Stroyers start to unleash hell onto Missouri and try to take out the boy - who is also Masked Rider Gotcha/G-Rider "Aqua" for short) but keep failing and getting defeated by the boy and all the good Masked Riders, including a bubblegum-pink "G-Rider Pink" female teenage student, who also attends the boy's high school and has a secret crush on him.
