Morgana Hoel, later known as Morgana Pendragon and Morgana le Fay, was a powerful dark witch, the daughter of Gorlois Hoel, Duke of Cornwall, and his wife, the witch Igraine. She was the half-sister of Arthur Pendragon, King of Camelot, and the apprentice of master mage Merlin Ambrosius.
In 537 AD, after growing tired of her brother's tyranic rule against magical creatures in Camelot, Morgana betrayed him and alligned herself with the evil Troll Gunmar, king of the Gumm-Gumms. She was the one responsible for killing the first Changelings - Trolls that have their souls bounded to that of humans, becoming able to turn into their Familiar's appearances while they remain trapped in the Darklands.
During the Battle of the Killahead Bridge, Morgana was imprisoned by Merlin inside a Heartstone located in the other side of the world, below the land that would one day be known as the American city of Arcadia Oaks, California.
Although trapped inside a Heartstone, Morgana, through her magic, would still be able to project her mind into magical nexus locations, aiding the Gumm-Gumm forces for centuries to come. After the Janus Order was created, she would be worshiped by them and be granted the name of Pale Lady.
In 2016, she was finally freed from her prison and brought upon the Eternal Night, making it able for Gunmar and his Gumm-Gumms to attack the human world. However, Gunmar was killed by the Trollhunter, Jim Lake, and Morgana was trapped in the Shadow Realm by young witch Claire Nuñez.
On September 2017, she was brought back to the human world by the Arcane Order, who demanded her to aid them into defeating Merlin and the Guardians of Arcadia. She ultimately betrayed the Arcane Order, and sacrificed herself to kill her brother, who now was known as the Green Knight.
