Nicholas Scratch, formerly known as Nicholas Harkness is a Human Witchbreed-Nephilim Hybrid who is the son of Agatha Harkness and Mephisto. After being sent to the Swamps of Ogun, he was resurrected by his father and became the Supreme Warlock.

Early Life[]
Nicholas Scratch was the son of Agatha Harkness and Mephisto, who had secretly disguised himself as a traveler named "Jack Scratch".
Second Life[]
Even after his death, Nicholas' soul was sent to the Swamps of Ogun and would remain there for eternity. However, it turns out that his biological father Mephisto had been watching him from his dimensional realm and offered him a second chance to live again in exchange for servitude. Nicholas accepted his father's offer and was restored back to life, thus being given the opportunity to learn more about magic.[2]

Following his resurrection, Nicholas was driven by deep hatred and resentment towards his mother due to his traumatic death by Smallpox. This traumatic event has made him cynical, cold and manipulative, obsessed with getting his revenge. His cynicism and coldness are demonstrated when, after being exposed and confronted about his actions, Scratch coldly responds that the world is cruel and he was just adapting, and also shows no emotion.
