Traveling to South Korea[]
To avoid the authorities, Phil and Melinda May traveled to South Korea to meet with Doctor Maddy Cho, hoping that she would have the answer that could help cure him from his illness. Doctor Cho explained to them that when she was brainwashed by Ultron, she learned how print tissue on how to create a body made out of the vibranium since Ultron had downloaded the procedure for bonding synthetic tissue to vibranium into her brain. Coulson asked if it was possible that the Regeneration Cradle might be the only way to save him from dying, to which Doctor Cho says that its possible since she had spending the last few years writing all the knowledge down and saving it in her files with the help of Nick Fury, who had formed Project Regeneration as a replacement to Project T.A.H.I.T.I..
The answer was solved when Maddy showed them the Regeneration Cradle, who would then use it as a way to heal his wound that he received by Loki.
For the last few hours while remaining in the Regeneration Cradle, Phil remained asleep as the cradle was grafting a simulacrum of organic tissue to him and having it bond to his cells. With that said, Coulson's life had been saved. At the time he awoke, Phil and Melinda noticed a symbol of a relic that was kept in her office. Maddy was forced to reveal that this relic belonged to a member of an ancient society known as the Brotherhood of the Shield.

- Infinity Formula Physiology : After being injected with the Infinity Formula by Berthold Sternberg as a way for him and Melinda to be saved from a poison that they nearly succumbed too, Phillip's body was enhanced to the peak of human potential of strength, agility, stamina, durability, speed, balance, reflexes, intelligence, and longevity. Before being injected, he received a new hand while placed inside the Regeneration Cradle that was developed by Doctor Maddy Cho.

- Enhanced Balance: Phillip's balance and dexterity are in levels superior to that of the world's most highly trained humans. The perfect example of his balance was shown during his evasion movements on one occasion when he used just two fingers to stand on the very edge of a building without any slip nor hesitation.
- Regenerative Healing Factor: Despite his body's resistance, Phillip's rate of healing is much faster than normal humans. His body is able to heal with extraordinary speed and efficiency, at a rate well beyond that of a regular human being. He is able to heal broken bones, torn muscles, several gunshots, knife wounds, and various other injuries within several days, like regenerating damaged cells from his heart. Most lesser injuries, such as cuts, bruises, scrapes, or burns, heal within a few hours.
- Longevity: Through the usage of the Infinity Formula, which was known to be a mixture of the Elixir of Life and the Super-Soldier Serum, Phillip ages at a much slower rate than a normal human, thus being able to live up to several thousand years. The effects of the serum have granted his full immunity to viruses, poisons, or biological diseases.
