Early Life[]
Taken during Infancy[]
Born in Israel, Ruth Bat-Seraph was an infant at the time when Leviathan deemed her a worthy candidate for the Black Widow Ops Program, which her mother sold. However, her father was not in agreement and proceeded to search for her, until General Viktor Egorav had him killed to prevent Leviathan's secret program from being revealed to the whole world. Ruth was brought up within the Red Room Academy, where she endured both an education and indoctrination into the world of spy-craft.[2]
As she grew up within the Leviathan's secret schooling academy, Ruth heard stories about the legendary Captain America and dreamed of wanting to be like him.[1]
Red Room Training[]
Over the years while growing up inside the Red Room Academy, Ruth underwent psychological conditioning and physical training, while exceeding in her marksmanship abilities.[2] However, there were some occasions that she would sometimes mess up.[1]
Project Red Storm[]
- "I've been struggling on some rare occasions throughout my training and kinda made a couple of mistakes which angered the staff, including General Viktor Egorav. If I couldn't complete my training or go through the final ceremony, then Leviathan would be ready to have me killed. But I got lucky. Turns out that Leviathan still had use for me. Doctor Kudrin, who worked on Project Red Storm, pumped me with her own version of the Super-Soldier Serum. I became a Super-Soldier. So Leviathan kept me around, but they didn't remove my ovaries and uterus at all. Consider me lucky. Lucky that I have a beautiful boy who was born to me while remaining in my home country."

Weeks before she would be ready to go through the final ceremony, Ruth had been struggling on some rare occasions throughout my training and kinda made a couple of mistakes which angered the staff, including General Viktor Egorav. General Egorav believed that Ruth was deemed a failure, so he prepared to arrange her to be executed. Before that could happen, Ruth was selected by Doctor Lyudmila Antonovna Kudrin for Project Red Storm. Given the title "SA-1980", she was injected by Doctor Kudrin's most perfected version of the Super-Soldier Serum, which would turn her into a Leviathan Super-Soldier. The process was complete and Ruth became an official Super-Soldier. As a Super-Soldier, she didn't go through her final ceremony since Doctor Kudrin, which meant that her ovaries and uterus weren't removed at all. Ruth considered herself lucky.[1]
