T'Challa Erik Rodriguez (née Udaku) (b.10 November, 1980), is the eldest child of King T'Chaka and Queen Ramonda and the older brother of Princess Shuri Udaku. However, he did not inherit the throne as he ran away to America and married Joseph Rodriguez, where he later gave birth to a daughter: Nonhle Noxolo Rodriguez, which translates to 'beautiful peace'. About five years after Nonhle's birth, T'Challa had another daughter, Khanyiswa Nontle Rodriguez.
For the next few years of his new life in America, T'Challa remained estranged from his parents and sister, who he felt had no idea or understanding of how he felt. All he left them was a note that said "I am sorry, Mother, Baba, Shuri. I cannot do this anymore, knowing that I can do more instead of hiding my head in the sand. Maybe, one day, if you can see this from my perspective instead of making me see it through yours, I will contact you again. Until then, goodbye. Your son/brother, T'Challa".
Backstory[]
T'Challa was born in Wakanda to T'Chaka and Ramonda in 1980, ten years after Tony Stark. However, during his childhood and early teen years, T'Challa longed to do more for the world instead of staying hidden behind an illusion. So, when he was sixteen, he took a bag of the Heart-Shaped Herb and ran away from Wakanda. However, he was captured by HYDRA somewhere in Asia. During his time with HYDRA, he was tortured and experimented on, one of them leaving him with the ability to bear children.
He was eventually rescued by the Avengers, who gave him medical treatment and therapy. In return for rescuing him, T'Challa swore all of them to secrecy and told them about Wakanda and his desire to help heal the world. In his stay with the Avengers, he became close with Loki and Tony.
Sometime later, he met Joseph Rodriguez and the two immediately clicked. When Joseph proposed, T'Challa trusted him enough to talk about where he came from and what he went through. Joseph stayed with him through all of it and the two got married. About three years later, T'Challa got pregnant and gave birth to their first child, Nonhle Rodriguez.
