What If... Spider-Man? is an American animated anthology series created by A. C. Bradley for the streaming service Disney+. It is the sixth television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) produced by Marvel Studios, and the studio's second animated series. The series takes inspiration from the What If...? series and explores events that happened in three separate universes in the multiverse, notably after Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Sam Raimi's Spider-Man 3. This series also is an alternative take on Spider-Man: No Way Home where all the displaced people from separate universes meet the Peter Parker from the main timeline. A.C. Bradley returns as head writer with Bryan Andrews directing.
Premise[]
After the events of What If...?, the Watcher sensed the Multiverse beginning to form after Doctor Strange casts a spell to make everyone forget who Peter Parker is. Before the moment comes, he takes a moment to reflect on the Peter Parkers that help create the true meaning of Spider-Man.

- Jeffrey Wright as the Uatu: After the events from the main series, The Watcher feels the effects of Doctor Strange's spell coming to fruition and reflects on the two Spider-Men that came from other worlds and helped keep the multiverse stable.
Marc Webb Universe[]
- Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man/Peter 3: Following the death of his girlfriend Gwen Stacy, this variation carries his duty of being Spider-Man in her honor and battles foes like never before.
- Campbell Scott as Richard Parker: Peter's Father and May Parker's brother-in-law. He sees his son Peter at Gwen Stacy's tombstone after years in hiding and acts as a mentor to him and helps plan tactics against the Sinister Six.
- Sally Field as Maybelle Reilly (Marc Webb Universe)May Parker: Peter's Aunt and Richard's Sister-in-law. She acts as a guardian to Peter and helps helps plan tactics against the Sinister Six.
- Michael Massee as Gustav Fiers/The Gentleman: The main antagonist in Peter 3's universe. He was the president of Oscorp Industries. Interested in the new hero of Spider-Man as he sees him as a threat to Oscorp, he encounters Curt Connors after his first encounter with Spider-Man. Connors reveals Spider-Man's identity, Peter Parker. He realizes Parker could be the son of Mary and Richard. Fiers convinces Connors to kill Spider-Man in exchange for "a new world that revolves around people like him". Although later Connors would turn on him, he sought an ally in Norman Osborn's son Harry and acts as a mentor to him.
- Bill Heck as Karl Fiers/The Finisher: Gustav's brother and former worker at Oscorp Industries. He is asked by Norman Osborn to make sure Richard and Mary Parker are killed and do not spread information of developing biogenetic weapons that would led to the shutdown of Oscorp. After the Shutdown of Oscorp, Fiers along with his brother were let go and developed a plan along with Norman's son, Harry Osborn, to get revenge on Spider-Man and developed a new team to eliminate the superhero. Fiers is shown to be known to develop many syrums thst help amplify many abilities, some that come with deformation or mental side affects.
- [[w:c:amazingspiderman:Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn/Hobgoblin: After getting knocked out by Spider-Man, he was arrested and sent to Ravencroft to have his powers be tested on. He is later visited by the Gentleman and given a syrum that controls his illness. The Gentleman offers to help form a team that would help get rid of Spider-Man with Osborn being the leader. He is the first member of the Sinister Six.
- Paul Giamatti as Aleksei Sytsevich/Rhino: Wanting revenge on Spider-Man after getting arrested during a Heist, Sytsevich is given a mechanical suit by "The Gentleman" to battle Spider-Man during "The return of Spider-Man". After the Suit is destroyed, he is rescued by Black Cat and sent to be experimented on by "The Gentleman", obtaining Super Strength and a deformed "horn" on his forehead. He is the second member of the Sinister Six.
- Felicity Jones as Felicia Hardy/Black Cat: Harry Osborn's former assistant and current Girlfriend. she helps rescue Sytsevich during "The return of Spider-Man". She is known to have abnormal speed after years of training with her father. She dates Harry Osborn in order to one day inherit money from Oscorp Industries. After going face-to-face with Spider-Man, she takes a Syrum from "The Gentleman" to help enchance her speed. She is the third member of the Sinister Six.
- Rhy Ifans as Doctor Curt Connors/The Lizard: After becoming the Lizard and finding Spider-Man's identity, "The Gentleman" confronts him and tells him to kill Spider-Man in exchange for "a new world that revolves around people like him". After being cured by Parker, Connors is reluctant to rejoin "the Gentleman" after he saved his life and sanity, but after the events of "The return of Spider-Man" Connors is forced to become the Lizard again by the Gentleman once more after being injected with a syrum made by him. Connors is able to battle Spider-Man one more time before he is suddenly transported into another universe. Connors was a temporary fourth member of the Sinister Six.
- B.J. Novak as Alistair Smythe/The Spider-Slayer: Originally the Boss of Max Dillon, he was fired from Oscorp Industries and was upset to learn that Electro was killed by Spider-Man. The Gentleman helps develop a syrum for Smythe that would give him a new form and act as a "Spider-Slayer". He is the permanent fourth member of the Sinister Six.
- Gary Oldman as Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus: A Quantum Physics professor from NYU, he is founded by "The Gentleman" to test out a new Oscorp project that would give control of six robotic arms designed for helping with more work. After taking the offer and equipping the experiment, The Gentleman" tampers with the project, gaining full control of Octavius and dubs the controlled professor "Doctor Octopus".
- John Malkovich as Adrian Toomes/The Vulture: a former Oscorp engineer that is fixated on remaking Spider-Man's abilities. He gets an offer from "The Gentleman" to join a team of enhanced humans that met with Spider-Man. After learning about Doctor Octopus's battle with Spider-Man, he changes his perception of Spider-Man and is fixated on killing him with his new team. He is the six and final member of the Sinister Six.
Sam Raimi Universe[]
- Tobey Maguire as Spider-Man/Peter 2: This Spider-Man explores the concept of starting a family after the death of May Parker.
- Kirsten Dunst as Mary Jane Watson: Peter Parker's wife. She tries to balance a work life and love life with Peter, but proves difficult when a new enemy arrives.
- James Cromwell as Captain George Stacy: The main antagonist in Peter 2's universe. Originally an admirer of Spider-Man, he becomes an enemy of him and helped make a wanted poster of him due to the death of his daughter in a battle with "The Lizard".
- Bryce Dallas Howard as Gwen Stacy: Parker's former classmate. She was killed on Columbia University campus after an experiment with Dr. Curt Connors goes wrong.
- Dylan Baker as Dr. Curt Connors: He is good friends with Peter Parker and helps develops a medicine that regrows limbs. However the experiment goes haywire and Connors is turned into The Lizard. He battles Spider-Man before he kills Gwen Stacy in the process, which in turn gets him murdered by the NYPD.
- J. K. Simmons as J. Jonah Jameson: The aggressive chief of the Daily Bugle. He has a particular dislike towards Spider-Man, whom he considers a criminal especially after the events at Columbia University.
- James Arnold Taylor as Frederick Foswell: A new intern at Daily Bugle. He is later hired by the "Crime Master" to help get the identity of Spider-Man by getting close to his photographer Peter Parker. During this heist, he picks up the codename of "The Big Man".
- Billy Dee Williams as Doctor Carl Strange: A scientist and professor who pushed many conspiracy theories onto people and gained the nickname "Dr. Strange" by the Daily Bugle. One of his theories was that robots was gonna take over the world. To prove he wasn't lying, he helped build the world's first "Iron Man" and built an ultra-frequency transmitter that helped control him. The radioactive activity from the Machine amplified Strange's brain and caused him to build more robots that would take over the world. His knowledge was also enhanced and became known as a "Crime Master".
